By booking or purchasing coaching from Positive Strategies, also known as Creating with Melissa, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms exist to bring clarity, set expectations, and create a safe, supportive coaching relationship for both of us.
If you have any questions, please email: [email protected]
My coaching supports late-identified neurodivergent adults who want clarity, self-understanding, and practical support to create more ease and sustainability in their lives.
Coaching may include reflection, values work, guidance, planning, practical strategies, and supportive conversation. It is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles, behaviour science, and my own experience as a late-identified autistic person. It is warm, collaborative, and personalised. It is not a clinical application of ACT, and it does not constitute behaviour-analytic services under my BCBA or UKBA(cert) certifications.
Coaching is not:
Therapy, counselling, mental health treatment, or medical advice
Behaviour-analytic assessment or behaviour-change intervention
Crisis support
A substitute for qualified healthcare, psychological, legal, financial, or medical advice
A guaranteed outcome or treatment programme
If you are receiving support from another professional, such as a GP, psychiatrist, therapist, counsellor, or other healthcare provider, please make sure they are aware you are engaging in coaching where relevant.
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, UKBA(cert) Behaviour Analyst, and a behaviour scientist with a master's degree in behaviour analysis.
Coaching services provided through Positive Strategies are not behaviour-analytic services.
This means coaching does not include:
Behavioural assessment
Behaviour intervention plans
Data-driven behaviour-change programming
Clinical recommendations
Supervision as a behaviour analyst
Professional consultation as a behaviour analyst
Coaching is an educational and supportive service focused on helping you understand yourself, honour your needs, make sense of patterns, and take action that aligns with what matters to you.
If I believe a request falls outside coaching, I will let you know and, when appropriate, suggest that you seek support from another qualified professional.
No physical signature is required. By purchasing coaching, booking a session, submitting an agreement form, or ticking the agreement box at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Fees are listed clearly on the relevant booking or payment page, in both GBP and USD. Payment is taken through a secure online payment system. Your coaching package, subscription, or session is confirmed once payment has been received, unless we have agreed another arrangement in writing.
Live coaching sessions are held via Zoom unless we have agreed something different. You are responsible for booking and attending any live sessions included in your package or subscription. Please aim to arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting me, the session may be treated as missed.
If I need to cancel or reschedule, I will give you as much notice as possible and we will rearrange the session.
Life happens, and I understand that capacity, health, family, work, and burnout can affect plans.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a live session, please give at least 24 hours' notice where possible. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, missed sessions, or arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may be considered a forfeited session.
I apply this with discretion and will take circumstances into account. My aim is to support you, not add pressure. If late cancellations or missed sessions become a pattern, we will talk about what support, adjustments, or changes may help.
Coaching is designed to work best with continuity and momentum. Coaching packages and subscriptions are intended to be used within a reasonable timeframe.
Coaching packages
6-session package: to be used within 4 months of purchase. 12-session package: to be used within 7 months of purchase. If you need more flexibility because of health, caring responsibilities, burnout, disability, or other circumstances, please contact me.
Subscription coaching
If you are on a monthly coaching subscription, your subscription includes the support listed on the relevant checkout or booking page. This may include Weekly Reflection and Feedback, a Monthly Coaching Check-In, light between-session support, and access to the coaching hub or resource library.
Weekly Reflection and Feedback
Weekly Reflection and Feedback is the ongoing coaching rhythm. It usually includes one guided reflection prompt each week and personalised written coaching feedback when you respond. Weekly prompts and feedback do not roll over, bank, or convert into extra sessions or other services if unused.
Monthly Coaching Check-In
Some subscriptions include one Monthly Coaching Check-In per month. This is separate from Weekly Reflection and Feedback. The Monthly Coaching Check-In is used for reviewing themes from the month, clarifying direction, choosing next steps, and adjusting the coaching focus. Depending on the options included in your subscription, it may be used as one of the following:
A 30-minute live Zoom check-in
A written coaching review
A personalised audio response
Banked Monthly Coaching Check-Ins
You may bank an unused Monthly Coaching Check-In when needed. You may hold no more than 2 banked Monthly Coaching Check-Ins at any one time. If you already have 2 banked and do not use the check-in included in a later month, that unused check-in will usually be forfeited unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Banked Monthly Coaching Check-Ins are available only while your coaching subscription remains active. If you cancel your subscription, pause your subscription, or your subscription ends for any reason, any unused banked Monthly Coaching Check-Ins will usually be forfeited. Banked Monthly Coaching Check-Ins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a refund, transferred to another person, or used after the subscription ends unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
If there are exceptional circumstances, such as illness, caring responsibilities, bereavement, burnout, disability-related needs, or other significant life events, please contact me. I will consider reasonable adjustments where possible.
Subscription renewal, cancellation, and pause
Monthly coaching subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. You may cancel your coaching subscription at any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancellations must be requested at least 5 working days before your next payment date to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle.
If a payment has already been processed, the subscription will usually remain active until the end of that billing period unless we agree otherwise in writing. Subscription payments are not usually refunded once the billing period has started, except where required by law or where I agree this is appropriate.
You may request one pause per 12-month period, for a maximum of 4 weeks. Your subscription billing pauses for that period and resumes automatically when the pause ends. Pauses cannot be applied retrospectively. If you are considering pausing because coaching feels like too much right now, please send me a message first. Sometimes the right response is a low-demand week rather than a full pause.
Founding member pricing
The founding member price of £97/month (or $125/month USD) is guaranteed for as long as your subscription remains active and uninterrupted. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, the current standard rate will apply.
Failed or missed subscription payments
If a subscription payment fails, coaching access continues for 5 days while the payment is resolved. If payment is not resolved within 5 days, access to the coaching hub will be paused until the outstanding payment is made. No coaching responses will be sent during a payment pause.
I generally plan my coaching availability around UK school terms and school holidays. There may be weeks during school holidays when I have reduced availability or am not available for live coaching sessions. I will give as much notice as possible so we can plan around this.
During some school holiday weeks, I may offer limited asynchronous support. During planned annual leave, including some summer weeks, I may step away from coaching fully. Planned time off does not usually pause or extend a subscription unless we have agreed this in writing.
During a reduced-availability week, here is what to expect: the regular weekly reflection prompt still goes out as usual, since this is low-demand for both of us and keeps the rhythm intact. I set aside a single day that week for responding to reflections, rather than my usual 2 working day turnaround. New intakes and Monthly Coaching Check-Ins are not scheduled during these weeks. If a response genuinely cannot be completed within the reduced-availability week, it will be sent early the following week instead.
Live Monthly Coaching Check-Ins already roll forward through the banked check-in system described above if a session falls in a week I am unavailable; written and audio check-ins simply move to the next available slot.
Some coaching packages and subscriptions may include between-session support, available Monday to Thursday. Between-session support is intended for brief check-ins, reflections, questions, and accountability. It is not suitable for:
Crisis support
Urgent decisions
Therapy or mental health treatment
High-risk situations
Complex issues that need a full session
Messages are not monitored continuously. If you need urgent support, please contact an appropriate emergency, crisis, medical, or mental health service.
If you purchase coaching online as a consumer, you may have a 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer law. This means you may cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, unless the service has already been provided in full and you have given the required consent for it to begin during the cooling-off period.
By accessing coaching materials, submitting coaching reflections, or receiving coaching feedback during the 14-day cooling-off period, you are asking for coaching services to begin during that period. If you cancel after this, I may deduct the value of any services already provided.
If you believe you are entitled to cancel or request a refund, please email [email protected].
You may end coaching at any time. I may also end the coaching relationship if I believe:
Coaching is no longer the right fit
The work needed is outside my scope
The coaching relationship is no longer supportive or appropriate
There are repeated boundary, payment, or attendance issues
If I end coaching, I will explain why where appropriate and refund any unused services not yet delivered, minus any reasonable costs or completed work.
What you share in coaching is treated as confidential. The main exceptions are:
If I am required by law to share information
If I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else
If there is a safeguarding concern
If you give explicit consent for me to share specific information
I may take brief notes to help me support you well. These are stored securely and handled in line with GDPR. Full details of how I handle personal data are available in my Privacy Policy.
Coaching is a supportive partnership. I will bring my knowledge, care, attention, and best effort. You remain responsible for your own choices, actions, decisions, and wellbeing. You agree to:
Take responsibility for any actions or decisions you make
Seek appropriate medical, mental health, legal, financial, or professional support when needed
Tell me if something in coaching is not working for you
Ask for clarification if something feels unclear
Let me know about access needs or adjustments that would help
Coaching can support insight, reflection, and action, but I cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
Any worksheets, prompts, recordings, guides, resources, or materials I provide are for your personal use only. Please do not copy, share, sell, teach from, adapt, or distribute them without written permission.
Where coaching includes access to a client hub, resources, prompts, or other materials, access is provided while you are an active coaching client. If your subscription ends or coaching is ended by either of us, access to coaching spaces and materials may be removed.
If you have concerns about our work, please talk to me directly so we can address them with care and clarity.
Because coaching is not a behaviour-analytic service, most concerns are handled through this internal process. However, if you believe my conduct violates the professional standards of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board or the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis in my capacity as a behaviour analyst, you may contact the relevant organisation directly.
The laws of England and Wales apply to this agreement. This agreement outlines the full understanding between us regarding coaching. It replaces any prior discussions unless we agree changes in writing. If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the agreement will still apply.
Questions about anything here before you apply? I'm glad to talk it through.
